SO WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
Scrambling suits anyone with reasonable hillwalking fitness, a good head for heights and an adventurous spirit! To the experienced hillwalker, scrambling and mountaineering offers the next obvious step, bridging the gap for many between walking and climbing. This is the start of your mountaineering career!
This 2 day course focuses on developing the movement and technical skills required for tackling the terrain on Grade 1 type scrambles such as found on Crib Goch and the North Ridge of Tryfan. Assisting and safeguarding each other
Simple emergency ropework for scrambles in ascent and descent
Mountain weather - how the weather affects our route planning and choice during the day

Choice and use of equipment
