SO WHAT'S IT

ALL ABOUT?

Thinking of stepping into the mountaineering world of rock climbing? Then building a solid and safe anchor for your belay is the first fundamental skill for your traditional climbing or advanced scrambling journey. We will cover effective anchor building, how to place good ‘gear’, how much to place and where to position yourself for top-roping your second.

You'll be introduced how to place, nuts, hexes and cams correctly and be given a simple process to understand the mechanics of how to build a safe anchor.

Already have some basic experience? Then get challenged with some more advanced techniques to make you extra slick on your big mountain days.

This would also suit those looking to rig systems for 'bottom-roping' for beginners and family climbing.

emphasis of this course is introducing you to the core climbing skills working towards you becoming a self-reliant climber whilst enjoying as much rock as we can climb!
