It's officially the first day of winter (meteorologically speaking) tomorrow and only 25 days til Father Christmas is due to fly over. If you don't know what to put on your list for him, we have come up with a few ideas...
FINISTERRE Zephyr Leggings (Women's)
We are both huge fans of Finisterre's sustainability ethics. Their clothes are always great quality and wash well and they will always take them back to repair them.
I have a pair of the old style Zephyr Leggings from a few years ago. They are snuggly warm traceable Merino wool, thin enough to be comfy under trousers and super warm for cold nights in by the fire. 100% on my Christmas list!
PATAGONIA Powder Town Beanie
No Christmas is complete with out a knitted wooly hat and I love these retro looking beanies from Patagonia. They are a tight weave, super warm and come in some very cool designs.
WILD STRIPES "Britannia" Zippy
Everyone knows Paul's a fan of brightly coloured clothes and he loves the base layers at Wild Stripes. Environmentally friendly and ethically made by a small company in New Zealand, these lightweight yet warm thermals wash incredibly well.
They are a unisex fit.
ALPKIT Brukit Jackal
I have one of Alpkit's original Brukits and I can't fault it, it is amazing. I must admit I would love to have one of these smaller versions for making that all important post swim cuppa in the hills.
NOTONTHEHIGHSTREET Hip Flask
Who doesn't like a warming tipple in their tent after a hard day on the hill? Treat someone special to something nostalgic, their very own engraved hip flask. Notonthehighstreet.com have a huge selection to suit all budgets and tastes. You just need to decide what to fill it with... Mines a single malt!
DORRIGO 3D A4 Snowdon Relief Ma
A great pressie for any map geek friend. These 3D maps are brilliant for bringing the map to life, and what better area to see come to life than Snowdonia!
LONELY PLANET'S Travel Anthology
We both have a love of travelling, whether it's near or far. It's the adventures you have and the stories they shape that make us who we are. This book promises to stay with us long after you have put it down, to help us understand that if we open up to adventure there is so much to connect with. On my list!
PATAGONIA Men's Hi Loft Down Sweater Hoody
Patagonia have some great jackets out at the moment and we love this downy jacket. It's DWR (Durable Water Repellant) fabric so ideal for light rain or snow. It's made with 600 fill power (traceable) duck down, the outer is 100% recycled polyester.
MONTANE Women's Prism Jacket
This is a seriously good jacket! Both myself and Paul have owned one for years have used them heavily on the mountains. It's always my jacket of choice. It's hard wearing, warm, I love the fact it is long in the body, will go over or under anything and it goes in the washing machine with the normal wash. If I didn't own one I would want one!
DMM Pivot Belay Device
The latest offering from DMM in belay devices, featuring, as the name suggests a pivot! The all important fact is that it comes in three colours!
SIGG Hot and Cold Accent Flask 0.75l
I can vouch that these Sigg flasks are amazing! I take a 1 litre version out swimming and it is always piping hot, never leaks and I'm a huge advocate of the full size cup, cleverly stowed on the bottom. It's slim shape is great for me, (everyone knows I won't carry a lot on the hill), but it seems to fit well in my bag. If you like a spot of real tea the smaller versions come with removable tea filters.
PAUL POOLE MOUNTAINEERING Gift Voucher

A day out on the hills with Paul is always on my Christmas list, aww... But enough of that!
