SO WHAT'S IT
We’re always looking for that next level, most of us want to improve our climbing ability and increase our enjoyment. It could be progressing from 1 grade to the next or it could simply be to improve confidence to move above that last runner. Having some professional coaching is the best way to achieving whatever your personal targets are.
Did you know that
One of the most fundamental technical errors that climbers make is failing to place their centre of mass in the best position with regards to minimising the load on your arms.
The following key climbing principals will form the basis of any course
Agility, Balance and Coordination
Centre of Gravity
Economy of Movement
Footholds and footwork
Use of video will allow us to reflect on elements of the above principals and allow me to identify areas that progressively we can develop and improve.
What could the course cover?
Good technique is the basis for any climber and hence very important. Better technique will make you more efficient, increase your range of moves and your climbing will improve, for example footwork.
You need to approach the climb with a range of ideas of how to succeed on route. Success will come with a bigger range of tactics that you can appropriately deploy.
Improving your confidence
This is a big part of a climbers arsenal, from simply leaving the ground in a positive mindset to linking the next few moves and ultimtately moving above the bolt or last last piece of gear into the unknown.
